Dallas is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at T. Dallas Smith & Company.
He leads all new business development initiatives. His role includes overseeing all brokerage affairs related to the company and providing chief liaison services to key clients.

Dallas began his commercial real estate career in 1982 at Atlanta Air Center Realty under the guidance of Thomas W. Tift as leasing and management representative for the portfolio. In 1989, Dallas became the first African-American broker at Cushman & Wakefield of Georgia where his affiliation with the company opened doors for many minority brokers. In 1995, he pioneered the brokerage division for H.J. Russell & Company, an African-American owned construction and management firm, where he served as VP of the Brokerage Division. Dallas led the company initiative of acquiring 40 parcels of real estate, a full city block in the intercity of Atlanta resulting in a mixture of office, retail and multifamily developments now valued at over $20 million. In 2006, with the blessing of the late H. J. Russell, Dallas opened T. Dallas Smith & Company, specializing in tenant representation. T. Dallas Smith & Company has led projects across the country with metrics exceeding more than seven million square feet of commercial property leasing and acquisitions and five thousand acres of land purchases. Since its inception, the team has grown exponentially successfully leading transactions totaling over $15 billion in aggregate value. Dallas is an innovator and thought leader in the commercial real estate community and is intentional about cultivating and developing diverse talent to help shape the commercial real estate industry. He is a graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

Among his many memberships, honors and awards are Georgia State University Foundation Board – Chair of the Real Estate Committee, Council for Quality Growth – Board Member, Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS-Board Member. He has been awarded as Atlanta’s Most Admired CEO (2017), Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtor’s Realtor of the Year (2018) and Empire Board of Realtists Broker of the Year (2018).

Dexter oversees the day-to-day operations at T. Dallas Smith & Company including all internal controls and regulatory compliance.

During his 30+ plus year career, Dexter has served in a variety of management and investing roles with top-tier companies such as Equitable Real Estate, Lend Lease, and with Morgan Stanley as an executive director and portfolio manager. He is a trusted advisor, strategically supporting major institutional real estate owners in achieving investment objectives in major markets across the country exceeding $8 billion in value. Dexter’s expertise includes urban and suburban office buildings; regional malls, power, lifestyle and neighborhood retail centers; multifamily communities; industrial warehouses/fulfillment centers; luxury resort hotels, and senior housing communities. Dexter is civically active with notable organizations including the Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS, CoreNet Global, Empire Board of Realtists Commercial Real Estate Council and the Atlanta Business League. Dexter is a graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master’s of Science in Real Estate.

Dexter’s list of memberships, honors and awards is far-reaching and continues to grow. He is the Chairman of the Board for the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau. Additionally he serves on the Metro Atlanta Chamber and the Georgia State University’s Honorary Real Estate Council. He is a past Board Chair for Leadership Atlanta and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).

Leonte was the catalyst for T. Dallas Smith & Company and has been with the firm since its inception. As a cornerstone of the firm, Leonte specializes in gathering in-depth market intelligence to help clients secure the real estate solutions that best align with their company objectives.

Leonte is proficient in the areas of site feasibility, contract negotiations, financial analysis, business development and client relations. He has an exceptional understanding of various commercial real estate assets, including office, warehouse and land. He has successfully represented boutique companies and corporate giants. His commercial real estate transactions portfolio includes prominent entities like AT&T, Coca-Cola Company, FedEx, JP Morgan Chase, and General Services Administration. Leonte is highly active in the community leading up several personal and company-engaged initiatives. He serves on the Fulton County Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta and Youth Enhancement Services. Leonte is a graduate of Morehouse College where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

A strong community advocate, Leonte has participated in both LEAD Atlanta (2014) and Leadership Georgia (2018). Additional board memberships have included the Atlanta Police Foundation, Next Generation Men & Women, Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS, Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and president of the Empire Board of Realtists. Robert Scott

Robert joined T. Dallas Smith & Company in 2013 as Principal and Vice President. He specializes in governmental acquisition, tenant representation leasing and acquisition services locally and nationally.

Prior to T. Dallas Smith & Company, Robert served as a Senior Lead Regional Contracting Officer, Team Leader and Facilitator for the U. S. General Services Administration (GSA) for over three decades. During his term, he performed a variety of commercial real estate actions in several states in the areas of leasing, real estate exchanges, built-to-suit projects, space expansion, lease extension, construction management and project management. Robert was responsible for negotiating, administering, and/or acquisition of over 5,000 thousand real estate transactions totaling more than 20 million square feet of commercial space worth several billion dollars throughout the Southeastern United States. He developed Solicitation for Offers or Request for Proposal, finalized negotiations, space management, space analysis, and ultimately acquired space to house clients’ overall space requirements. He provides expert advice on specific tasks and makes available written instructions and reference. Robert serves as senior and lead contracting officer, project manager, technical advisor for major, complex, new construction and unusual type projects. Robert has also attended and completed several courses leading toward his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and has been certified as a specialist in Cost and Price Analysis of Leasing Proposals, Federal Real Property Lease Law and Real Property Leasing. Robert holds a professional designation of Master of Commercial Real Estate (MCR) and Real Property Administrator.

Robert’s community initiatives and memberships include being an active member of the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce where he serves on the DeKalb County Chamber’s Economic Development Committee, the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, CoreNet Global Real Estate Board and serving on the board of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, Inc.

Audra L. Cunningham

Audra is a senior real estate executive that transitioned into office tenant representation in 2008 following a 23-year career in telecommunications with companies such as Bellsouth and Earthlink. She performed in several management roles, including: call center management, product management and multiple special projects.

Audra, who studied Business Administration at Mercer University, began her career as a tenant rep broker in Atlanta during the heart of the 2008 recession. She was recruited to join JLL in Washington DC in 2010 where she built a client base of law firms, non-profits, government contractors and corporations. Subsequently, Audra went on to be recruited by CBRE and Newmark Knight Frank where she represented clients between Atlanta and Washington DC. Audra’s most recent role was with Physician’s Realty Trust (REIT), where she was responsible for leasing throughout the Southeast, for more than over 3 million square feet of medical office space.

Audra is very active in the community. As a board member for CoreNet, she is co-chair of the Diversity in Action committee. Other memberships include the Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS®, the Atlanta Business League, the Empire Board of Realists, OnBoard and the Grant Park Neighborhood Association. She is the founder of No Opportunity Wasted and a founding member of the Network of Empowered Women in Commercial Real Estate.

Corey Ferguson

Corey assists corporate clients in identifying, analyzing and securing optimal commercial real estate solutions. He leads the market research and data retrieval offering the absolute best recommendations to clients ensuring that decisions made are thoroughly vetted and informed.

With over 15 years of commercial real estate experience, Corey has been instrumental in helping small and large businesses align their objectives with their real estate requirements. He has led or had material participation in commercial real estate transactions totaling over $100 million. He has extensive experience in forecasting, analysis, project management, site selection and contract negotiation. Corey began his career with Colliers International as an Asset Manager overseeing the day-to-day operations of a Class A and B office and retail portfolio totaling over one million square feet. Corey also served as Senior Leasing and Property Manager for SugarOak Holdings, a Herndon, VA based company, for an Atlanta office portfolio consisting of approximately 200,000 square feet. He went on to serve as a corporate real estate specialist with Kimberly-Clark Corporation overseeing transactions both state-side and internationally. Corey’s vast experience in the commercial real estate arena has positioned him as a thought-leader and innovator in the industry. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.

Corey’s civic and business affiliations include, Empire Board of Realtist-Commercial Council Chair, RealNex Product Advisory Board Member, and University of Alabama Red Elephant Club. Additionally he is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS and the Alabama “A” Club. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).

Cedric Matheny

Cedric creates, coordinates and implements strategies for locating suitable sites based on the clients’ needs and objectives. He is in charge of analyzing and negotiating all terms and conditions related to proposals, LOIs, and RFPs. He also manages new business development strategy formulation and implementation.

Cedric began his career with Bank of America serving as a small business and commercial banker. While there, he implemented many effective sales strategies for target markets to meet company objectives. He served as the operations manager for Clearsight Funding, a Charlotte-based private funding company. His accountabilities included educating companies on available lending programs and market investment solutions. He later served as a sales representative with Konica Minolta Business Solutions where he earned recognitions such as top producer in sales and business development. These skills along with several others gained during his time in the finance and sales industry helped propel Cedric to being a leader within T. Dallas Smith & Company. Cedric’s client list includes Georgia’s Own Credit Union, FedEx, AT&T and JP Morgan Chase. He is a graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Real Estate and Finance.

Being actively engaged in local civic and business community initiatives is a passion for Cedric. His affiliations include Association of Real Estate Alumni at Georgia State University-Past President, Empire Board of Realtist-Treasurer and Aerotropolis Airport Alliance – Executive Board Member. Additionally, he is part of the LEAD Atlanta 2019 class. Cedric was recognized as the Empire Board of Realtists Salesperson of the Year (2017). He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).

Tommy joined T. Dallas Smith & Company in 2014 as a commercial real estate advisor and office/industrial leasing broker bringing several years of experience in property and asset management to the team.

From the beginning, Tommy’s experience as a leader concentrating on tenant representation for large corporations and nonprofit organizations has been essential. He has successfully managed securing partnerships with numerous entities including but not limited to Empowerment Resource Center, Seaside Healthcare, the Atlanta Diabetes Association, the NAACP, the Urban League of Greater Atlanta and the Youth Enhancement Services. He is a graduate of Albany State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.

Tommy’s civic and community outreach activities include work with UpWard Bound, YouthBuild, the Empire Board of Realtists, the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors the Atlanta Business League and serving on the board of House Proud.

Detra uses her years of experience in commercial banking to her advantage as a trusted commercial real estate advisor. In her role, she not only helps clients identify great spaces, she keeps her eyes on the bottom line using market knowledge, relationship-building skills and the best of negotiating tactics to ensure the final deal is within the agreed budget.

Detra was initially exposed to commercial real estate as an employee of BB&T where she was part of a fast-paced intensive leadership development program. Upon completion, she served as a commercial loan workout manager specializing in high risk commercial assets including portfolio due diligence, contract negotiations, loan modifications, financial analysis, loan underwriting, and reviewing commercial property appraisal / environment reports. Following her stint at BB&T, Detra accepted a position as Senior Associate Credit Risk at KPMG, LLP. There she analyzed commercial portfolios of large banks including Credit Suisse, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, ICBC and Deutche Bank. Detra is a graduate of Georgia State University with both a Bachelor of Science (Finance and Real Estate) and a Masters of Business Administration.

Detra is a Certified Commercial Investment Member candidate. She is a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors and the Empire Board of Realtists. She currently serves on CREW Atlanta as Vice Chair of Newsletter.

Troy joined T. Dallas Smith & Company in 2018 with expertise in office and industrial tenant rep broker services. He has quickly gained the reputation of a relationship builder, lease negotiator and astute project manager.

Troy has more than five years experience as a commercial real estate broker. He started his career at Ackerman & Co performing office and retail brokerage services for companies like Nationwide, Rainbow Push Coalition and Slim & Husky’s Pizza. As an Atlanta native, Troy’s ability and expert knowledge of the Metro Atlanta area paired with his fresh perspectives have proven to be invaluable to the T. Dallas Smith & Company team. He is a graduate of Morehouse College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and ultimately wants to lead the redevelopment of the neighborhood where he was raised.

Troy’s memberships and awards include Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors Mentee (2017), REAP Atlanta (Class of 2012) and the International Council of Shopping Centers. When not closing deals or building relationships with potential clients, Troy volunteers with Soccer in the Streets.

Andrew joined T. Dallas Smith & Company through an internship in 2016. As one of the youngest brokers in the pride, Andrew has been exposed to many aspects of commercial real estate from market research to closing deals.

Andrew graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics/Entrepreneurship in May 2018. After receiving his broker license, Andrew hit the ground working to serve existing clients while creating new relationships with a younger client base of future businesses and users of space. Andrew has an unrelenting drive for success and works constantly to fine-tune his craft to better serve his clients.

Andrew’s community and civic service includes work with the Atlanta Business League, Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, Area GSU and Collegiate 100 of Atlanta (alumni mentor).

As a trusted advisor, Marcus focuses on offering his clients top-notch services and representation specializing in office, land and industrial space transactions.

Marcus joined the Pride in 2017 following a passion for real estate that began in his early childhood. On the way to fulfilling this dream however he took on sports. A native of Atlanta, Marcus attended Westlake High School where he was a top athlete and student. He was named “Mr. Basketball” in Georgia by the Atlanta Tipoff Club and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He was also honored to be a Parade All-American. At the University of Georgia, Marcus was named captain of the men’s basketball team and All-SEC. In 2014, Marcus graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate. He briefly played professional basketball abroad. Following career-altering injuries, Marcus redirected his energies to his first love: real estate and has not missed a beat.

Since joining the team Marcus has made his mark on the firm. His work ethic and passion for doing good has been invaluable in the firm and in the community. He spends his free time volunteering with youth.

Nick began his commercial real estate career in 2012 working for a full-service real estate development and management company located in Cleveland, Ohio, where he actively managed 2.5 million square feet of commercial shopping & industrial space. He then moved to Chicago, Illinois in 2014 and began his commercial real estate brokerage career with Marcus & Millichap, where he specialized in the acquisitions and dispositions of commercial shopping centers and single-tenant net-leased properties. He is a graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor’s in Political Science.

Danielle Spann

As office manager and executive assistant, Danielle directs and manages all administrative and operational processes throughout the firm. She is certified with more than 30 years experience supporting C-level executives.

Danielle’s career began in New York City, where she worked for companies like Chemical Bank (now JPMorgan Chase), Goldman Sachs and Georgeson & Company. Throughout her career, Danielle has been responsible for many of the day-to-day operations including office moves, space planning, the implementation of travel and expense procedures and the development of corporate card policies. Since joining T. Dallas Smith & Company in February 2019, Danielle has quickly become an essential member of the team. Here, she has been able to marry her love for office management with her passion for real estate.

Danielle is a member of the American Society of Administrative Professionals and enjoys reading, watching HGTV and Million Dollar Listing, eating butter pecan ice cream and spending time with her granddaughter.

Shandrea joined the T. Dallas Smith & Company family in February 2020 as a Commercial Real Estate Advisor. A Georgia native, Shandrea has an effective combination of Southern charm and an unwavering tenacity to win and do so with a calm demeanor and a smile. She brings over 10 years of corporate experience providing professional IT services to federal agencies, management consultancies, and various Fortune 500 companies. After receiving her Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing from Clark Atlanta University and her Masters Degree in Information Technology from Kennesaw State University, Shandrea decided to invest in real estate in her community as a way of providing rental homes for underprivileged individuals. Investing in her community inspired her passion for real estate and contributes to her dedication to give back.

Shandrea has served in various local and national organizations. She is an active member of National Black MBA Association Atlanta Chapter and The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter. She has served as the Marketing Chair for Next Onboard, a proud of member of Gamma Sigma Sigma Sorority Inc., Girls Who Code, The Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors and the Atlanta Business League.

When Shandrea is not assisting real estate clients, she enjoys spending time with family, volunteering, traveling and rooting for her Atlanta Falcons as a season ticket holder.

Mahzé McQueen

Mahzé started as an intern with T. Dallas Smith & Company where he developed his talent for research of the commercial real estate industry and its trends. In his capacity as a licensed broker, he focuses on financial modeling, emerging market research, business opportunities and client relations.

Mahzé began his commercial real estate career with Carter USA as an intern. While at Carter, he worked on two major development projects in downtown Atlanta including The Met and Summerhill, building relationships and providing tours. In the spring of 2019, with a fervent desire to plant solid roots in the industry, Mahzé accepted an intern position with T. Dallas Smith & Company. Six months later, he secured his license and was officially added to the roster as a broker. Mahzé is currently seeking a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Real Estate and Finance at Georgia State University.

Mahzé serves as president of the Real Estate Society at GSU. He is also a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity and a Project Destined Scholarship recipient. He is Bloomberg certified.

Alston joined the T. Dallas Smith & Co. family in October of 2019. As one of the newest brokers, his attention to detail, research skills and unrivaled urge to succeed make him a great addition to the team. His scope of work includes research, market analysis, lease negotiation and project management.

Alston is an Atlanta native. He attended Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy and graduated from Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School in 2013. Alston left Atlanta to attend St. John’s University in Queens, New York where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics in 2017 and an MBA in Management in 2018 (graduating with honors). Prior to joining the pride, Alston worked in sales at Yelp helping local businesses improve their marketing mix and increase their online presence. Wanting to make an impact on the community that influenced him growing up, he moved back to Atlanta in the summer of 2019 and secured his real estate license. Now, Alston has creatively combined his love for research and economics with his acute negotiating and problem-solving skills. The commercial real estate industry has provided the perfect career path. As a member of the T. Dallas Smith and Co. team, Alston expects continued growth and sharpening of his skills in the field of commercial real estate.

Rodney Johnson (Los Angeles, CA)

Rodney heads up the T. Dallas Smith & Company California office developing and managing relationships with our client base in the west.

Rodney has over 30 years of commercial real estate experience. He began his career as an appraisal trainee in the Los Angeles office of Equitable Real Estate Investment Management, Inc., then one of the top managers and advisors for commercial real estate assets held by pension funds in the U.S. During his 13 year career with Equitable, he served in a variety of technical and executive positions including underwriter, portfolio manager, client relations manager and new business development officer. His responsibilities included serving key California clients, including CalPERS, CalSTRS and LACERA. Rodney served as Project Manager/Development Director for The Delta Organization in Philadelphia where he managed the $100 million redevelopment of Colonie Center Mall (Albany, NY). He served as Senior VP and Sr. Development Director for The Integral Group in Atlanta where he managed the $50 million mixed-use development of Renaissance Walk - located in the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic District. Rodney has also helped raise $80 million of investment capital for private equity urban real estate investment funds (Urban America and the Integral Urban Fund). He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and African-American Studies from Stanford University and later graduated from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a Masters in Business Administration-Finance.

Rodney is licensed as a California real estate broker. He is a member of Stanford Professionals in Real Estate as well as a California Assembly Fellow and Faculty Advisor for Project REAP. He is currently Chairman of the Board for Willing Workers, Inc. - Los Angeles.
